Take a look around, you are not alone
It's been an exhausting day.
Finding the body, and then the subsequent investigation... Hiyono had made a quick trip back to the room after leaving Elliot there, though she quickly left again with Ayumu once they read the letter Misora had left behind, going to investigate her room proper. When they return, it's with heavy hearts, heavy keys, and letters.
Hiyono waits to hand Elliot his before she settles down to read her own, sitting on the edge of the bed with a certain stiffness, like she's about to stand up and go, go, go again. But she continues to sit there, a hand creeping up to cover her mouth as her eyes trace the words on the paper. They're a little watery, but a deep breath and a careful blink keep any actual tears at bay.
It doesn't, however, do a thing about the lump settling uncomfortably, suffocatingly in her chest.
The new mourning room is down to three.

Silently taking the letter from Hiyono is really the most he's moved in some time.
He reads over it, silent still except for his shaky breath. He doesn't cry - whether it's just the numbness settling over him like a thick blanket, that the letter has actually brought some small comfort, or simply that there's no tears left to cry isn't entirely certain.
Eventually, though, he does speak up, sounding like his throat is just as raw as his eyes are looking.]
...she did fight, didn't she? [Like she said she would? Please, just give him that small comfort, that she kept her promise in the end.]

She really did never know when to leave well enough alone. His throat is tight and his expression is clearly emotional, but there are no tears in his eyes as he folds the letter back up after a long, long several moments of staring at it. More than anything else right now, he can't let Elliot see certain words on the page.
His breathing is a little uneven as he tucks the letter away in his pocket. He'd remember. He'd keep fighting. They'd find a way somehow, to bring her back... they had to.
Misora didn't deserve this.]
She fought. She fought her damnedest and used everything she had at hand. She never gave up.

[She presses the heel of her palm into her eyes, briefly. That lump is making her voice catch here and there, as much as she tries to hide it.]
I can't imagine Misora-san giving up, either. She fought - for all of us.
[In the trials, in day to day life, trying to teach them what she could to raise their chances of survival, to even just be there for them when they began to feel lost.
Her shoulders remain tense. However, she carefully tucks away her own letter, turning herself to face Elliot properly.]
Tomorrow, we'll... have to continue that fight. For her sake.
no subject
...I'm glad to hear that much. She... she did promise me she would, if it came to that.
[She always was someone you could rely on to keep their word. He loves that about her even now.]
And... you're right. We will. [He looks up to face the two of them, still lost, still miserable, but with some spark of life still in there. Some small bit of determination.] As much... as much as I really don't wanna know which one of us is to blame for this. ["Us" being all of the survivors. He can't even comprehend either one of his remaining roommates doing something like this to Misora.] It's the closest thing to justice we can get for her, so... we gotta do our best, right?
no subject
It was a heavy loss for them all.... but the best thing they could do would be to carry on in her stead. He lets out a shaky breath, closing his eyes and doing his best to try to calm himself.
The pressure in his chest hurt.]
Right. That's what she'd have wanted. She'd want us to keep pushing onward, for her sake and everyone else's.
no subject
[And when she says 'us,' she most especially means the three of them at this very moment. The back of a finger brushes lightly against her eyelid, just to be sure.]
...So, we'll need to take care of each other. Starting with... [And here, she shifts, reaching over for that cup of water so she can present it to Elliot--]
--Staying hydrated and making sure our physical bodies are taken care of, too.
[She sees how red your eyes are, Elliot. At least get something to drink.]
no subject
...yeah. Sorry, I just... [He takes a sip of water as he tries to collect his thoughts.] Honestly, the last couple hours have just been kind of a blur.
no subject
I can always make some tea, if you'd like....
[Though that would require leaving the room, which neither of them might want.]
no subject
...But if that doesn't sound good, we can always rearrange the room instead. I think our sleeping arrangements could probably use an update.
no subject
...Thanks, by the way. [About the comforter.]
What were you thinking with the room, Hiyono?
no subject
[He didn't really want to leave anyway, not right now. Ayumu pats Elliot's head before stepping back, settling on the edge of the bed once again.]
What kind of sleeping arrangement?
no subject
[Because it's kind of a given that she and Ayumu keep sharing the same mattress these days.]
...We have a lot of blankets and pillows now, though. I thought... it might be better if we all shared them on the floor.
[It's easier not to feel alone in the dead of night when you're surrounded by living, breathing people.]
no subject
Oh, um... I mean... It's fine, really. You guys don't need to worry about me like that.
[He fidgets for a second.]
But... if you guys are okay with it, I wouldn't... exactly... mind.
[What he is trying to say is that yes, he would appreciate it. He's just awkward and bad at things.]
no subject
Well, if Elliot wasn't going to make a big deal out of it...]
I don't mind. It'll be warmer that way, too.
[And honestly, though he wouldn't admit it, he liked having people close while he slept. It was a new experience, but not a bad one. It was... comfortable. It felt safe.]
no subject
Then it's settled. [And she gently places a hand on Elliot's back, encouraging him to move from the bed.]
Let's pile all of this up!
no subject
Still, sooner rather than later, he's up and off the bed.]
Just lemme know where you want me to move stuff.
no subject
Ayumu stands as well, gathering up an armful of comforter, blanket and pillow. They've got quiet an assortment now-- the floor would probably be just as comfortable as a bed, really.]
Should we just spread it out in the middle of the room, or near a wall?
no subject
[If not just climb over the bed instead. Hiyono herself will go to fetch the dakimakura because of course those are here.]
no subject
[Well, then! He'll start shoving his stuff to the very outer edges of the room, so the he can start shoving the beds. He has bed-moving experience, now, after all...]
no subject
Sleep is serious business ok.]
Hm, should we use the big pillows to line the sides? Or at the head? But we already have small ones...
no subject
[She turns to smile brightly at Elliot.]
What do you think? Would you like to snuggle up with your pillow to the side? ♥
[...Of course she means Rean. It seems even exhaustion isn't enough to spare him from this.]
no subject
...It'd probably be comfortable, yeah. I'm facing that stupid thing away from us, though.
[So embarrassing...]
no subject
[He shakes his head. WHY DO THEY DISLIKE THE FROG SO MUCH it is a mystery.]
no subject
Now that she's actually sitting on it, the exhaustion hits her like a stack of bricks.]
This should do it, right?
